I'm not much of a Ranty McRanter, but sometimes I may make the occasional 'this annoys me' post. And now, the stats:

O N   F R I E N D I N G

My policy on adding people is pretty open. If we have some interests in common, I don't mind you friending me and I'll add you back more often than not. My journal is locked because I just want to have some control over who sees it, as I've had some rather odd experiences in the past with leaving my journal open. There are a couple of caveats, though:

1) Bigots and the prejudiced need not stop by. It should be fairly obvious from the above personal stats why I find bigots, homophobes, etc. distasteful. I'm not here to be your token [insert socioeconomic group here] friend. I'm not here to debate you on issues of race, sexual politics, etc., and could care less about trying to change your opinion on any socioeconomic group that I happen to belong to. If I friend you and find out about your true opinions later, I will defriend you without blinking.

2) Even if we share interests, if I sense a disturbance in the Force when I look at your journal, I probably won't friend you. Things like having an old journal that hasn't been updated in forever and has only a handful of entries, journals full of memes or entries that appear to be written by a 12 year old on a crack binge won't be added. I need no trolls, puppets or other nonsense brought to me.

3) With the climate being what it is on LJ now, please don't add me if you are under 18. Even though most of my entries are relatively porn free, I don't need the headache that it involves.

4) Please don't involve me in or drag me into internet drama. I may point and laugh from a distance at internet wank on occasion, but I'm in no way an active participant in it.

5) I don't do friends cuts unless it's an issue like #1. If you cut me because you aren't interested in what I'm saying anymore, I don't update enough for your tastes, etc., no harm no foul, and I'll remove you in return. I won't try to Avada Kedavra you or anything.
